5 tips to maintain your fitness routine + CONTEST

One of the most (if not THE most) popular New Year’s resolutions is to get fit and adopt a better lifestyle. As the new year begins, many suddently feel the urge and motivation to hit the gym to accomplish their goals. However, as we all know, this is one resolution that is hard to keep and usually doesn’t make it past the month of January. As the weeks progress, the motivation vanishes. It happens to most of us, including yours truly. But there is no need to break your fitness resolution. Here are 5 tips that have helped me :

1. Create a mood board on Pinterest
Visualisation is a great way to stay motivated. Pinterest and Instagram offer tons of inspiring pictures and quotes. Regrouping and creating all of your favourite in a moord board will allow you to positively visualise your goals.

2. A killer playlist
Personally, I find it impossible to work out or run without jamming to my favourite tunes. You can create your own playlist or, if not, Songza and Spotify offer plenty of pre-made playlists to satisfy every type of musical taste. You can check out my current work out playlist HERE.

3. Find a training buddy
Working out on your own may become boring at times. Finding a training buddy will motivate you to be consistent in your routine. Try trading your coffee shop dates for gym dates with your bff. I guarantee you will be looking forward to your work out session!

4. Stop seeing your work out as a chore!
The day you will stop seeing your workout as a chore, you will actually start enjoying it. Think positive!

5. New workout clothes
