Sporty Chic Spring Look

For the longest time now, I had been living with the misconception that petite figured girls like myself should never wear mid-length/midi skirts, and this, especially when pleats are involved. In my case, I always felt that these were never flattering and I was always left with the challenge of finding a well fitted long pleated skirt.  That was until last week when I found this long white pleated skirt. It’s the perfect hem length for shorter women, the high-waist cut helps elongate the rest of the body and last but not least, by showing the waistband, this will better define the whole look. The other thing I really like about it is that it’s light and flowy without adding volume to the hips. I really like this sporty chic look, which is perfect for Spring, because it’s nothing short of refreshing and fun. I kept it simple with a black mesh crop top, my favorite fitted leather jacket and some accessories that I’ve been crushing on. I must say however that these new Converse Pro Leather LP sneakers (which officially hit Little Burgundy stores today) really played a big role making the outfit a street wear hit.  Now, my next challenge is to wear it in a classy feminine look. Stay tuned!
