As you may know, I recently got back from a weekend getaway in New York City. It felt so wonderful to embark on a little road trip this time of year. Not only was this a great way to reward myself with the end of midterm exams and a pretty busy schedule, but also a great opportunity to see the beautiful display of fall colors and to scratch off some items off my bucket list. I had, for the longest time, wanted to treat myself to a few designer pieces without paying the full price, even if I knew it would be a great investment. This is when Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, about an hour drive from New York City, in upstate New York came into play. With over 240 sought-after and upscale fashion retails (hello Céline, Burberry, Prada, Valentino, Gucci) brands offering savings of 25% to 65% year-round, this is the ultimate shopping destination to snag pieces from top luxury labels which you have been yearning. The best news, however, is that it the WCPO recently underwent a major expansion and a multi-million dollar investment, adding close to 40 new luxury brands such as Maje, Sandro, Loewe, DSquared2, Marc Jacobs, Rag and Bone as well as several other desired brands. It has become one of the largest fashion destinations in the world! And get this, unlike most outlets, the WCPO are unique in that they exclusively feature stores such as Tom Ford, Givenchy and Yves St-Laurent. The property also gets extra points for their new Market Hall and eateries including Shake Shack (Oh-em-gee, what a treat!), Le Papin Quotidien, Magnolia Bakery and the new Black Dirt Bourbon Bar where I stopped for a quick drink and to give the credit card a break 😉 Parking facilities, new landscaping, waterfalls and new outdoor seating are also part of the redevelopment. In conclusion, the WCPO have seriously thought of everything and have redefined the shopping experience by enhancing customers’ shopping options and meeting their needs and convenience. It’s the ideal shopping destination for those looking for high-end products at really great prices, but also for those who enjoy some leisure time which, in my opinion, goes far beyond the traditional shop-till-you-drop experience, in a stress-free environment. I couldn’t end this post without sharing some of the major scores I made, including a timeless Gucci leather belt, an iconic Coach bag, the perfect fall Camel coat and some accessories from Pandora.
